Good Things Take Time

Some services, like iPhone display and battery replacements, can be completed on the same day.

Mac, iPad and Watch repairs are generally processed within five to seven working days.

We know having access to your devices is critical, and we aim to turn around your repair in as little time as possible. However, shipping estimates and parts availability can vary our delivery timeframe.

We have options available for loan devices and expedited service.

Find My

You’ll need to turn off Find My on your device in order to receive genuine service. To do this, you’ll need your Apple ID password handy.

Out-of-Warranty

Service & Assessment Fees

$59 — iPhone, iPad, Watch
$109 — Mac

Triage diagnostics, validating all internal components and a visual/mechanical inspection documenting the issue with Apple and providing a written report.


$39 — Cleaning

You’d be surprised how a spring clean of your device can be refreshing. We follow Apple’s own standards on this, including disinfection for mitigating COVID-19, and electrostatic-discharge (ESD) precautions. Cleaning is included in all committed service bookings.

$49 — Screen Protector

We’ve done thousands. Trust us to have yours installed precisely. Dust free, bubble free, and to an exacting tolerance. Our chosen high-quality glass screen protector included.


In-Warranty Repairs

If your Apple product is covered by Apple’s Limited Warranty or Consumer Law, we can provide service exclusively within Queenstown. There are no costs* to the end user for covered repairs under Apple’s Limited Warranty with the exception of shipping fees where applicable.

AppleCare+ Repairs

If your Apple product has an AppleCare+ Protection Plan, DeepFocus can provide service under this agreement. Our pricing on these repairs follows Apple’s:

AppleCare+ Eligible iPhone Models

$49 — Screen Repair
$169 — All Other Damage

AppleCare+ Eligible Mac Models

$169 — Screen Repair
$499 — All Other Damage

* DeepFocus reserves the right to charge the appropriate assessment fee if, after inspection, the issue is determined to be outside of Warranty, AppleCare+ or Consumer Law coverage. Examples include undisclosed accidental or liquid damage, and tampering by third party repairers.

Make a Backup

While most services don’t require access to or modification of device data, in some instances it may be necessary to restore your device. We encourage our customers to maintain an up-to-date backup at all times.

If you’d like us to assist with or perform a backup for you, this can be arranged at the time of your booking.

Our Service Process

  1. Make a Booking

    While we do accept walk-in bookings during our opening hours of 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday - the intake process can be sped up considerably if we already have your contact and device details. You can make an advanced booking on our home page, be sure to include your device serial number as this enables us to pre-populate many of the required fields for your service booking.

  2. Bring your Device into DeepFocus

    We’re located on the ground floor of Remarkables House at 26 Hawthorne Drive, Queenstown.

    Remarkables House is easily identifiable with its blue curtain glass and is home to the Frankton Library, our premises is right next door and three doors up from Franks Eatery and plenty of parking is available nearby. Please note that the parking behind Remarkables House is reserved for tenants and is not for use by customers.

  3. Diagnostics

    Prior to any genuine Apple service being undertaken, Apple service diagnostics are required to validate the integrity of your device and accurately identify any issues that are present. Think of this like a ‘warrant of fitness’ check for your device.

    We can share non-proprietary diagnostic results on screen and work through the initial triage process with you. We will also provide you with a clear outline of the warranty coverage status and any fees (if applicable).

  4. Parts Ordered & Repair Started

    Once the issue has been confirmed and the scope of works agreed upon, including any billable items, we will proceed to book your device in for service with Apple and await the delivery of parts. Generally speaking, it is a requirement that once the repair is committed your device stays with us for the duration of the repair.

    As above, some parts like iPhone displays and batteries are available in stock and do not have a delivery lead time. Once we receive your parts and your device is first in our queue, we begin the physical repair process.

  5. Post-Repair Diagnostics & Calibration

    Upon completion of your repair, we perform a second round of post-repair functional testing, diagnostics and calibration as required to ensure your device is returned to you in full working order.

    We also take the time and care to clean your device, inside and out, so when you receive it back, it will be in the best condition possible.

  6. Delivery or Collection

    Finally, your device can be collected on the day of completion during our opening hours of 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We can also safely and securely courier your repaired device directly to you on completion anywhere within New Zealand.

    Shipping and handling fees may apply on a case by case basis.
